Egypt to auction EGP83bn debt instruments in August

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s central bank is scheduled to auction debt instruments worth EGP 83.2 billion in August.

The bank already raised EGP 80 billion in treasury bills and bonds this month.

The central bank will issue next Sunday 91- and 266-day T-bills at a value reaching EGP 2.5 billion and EGP 4.5 billion respectively.

Meanwhile, debts instruments worth EGP 98.7 billion will be auctioned next September; thus bringing the total value of debt instruments offered in the first quarter of 2015/2016 to EGP 262 billion.
